Beyond Talent is partnering with the Maryland Multicultural Youth Centers in Silver Spring (MMYC) to serve the youth in its GED program! MMYC will refer students to Beyond Talent, and Beyond Talent will provide 2 on-site workshops to their students in November and December. Though some of our students live in Maryland, this is the first time Beyond Talent has provided services at a site outside DC proper. Population shifts are making this more and more important.

MMYC began offering programs in Maryland in the summer of 2005.  Based on its thirty year experience in the District of Columbia, MMYC is working towards replicating LAYC’s proven youth development model in Prince George’s and Montgomery Counties.  Since opening its doors, MMYC has served over 550 Maryland youth and families.
