Beyond Talent happily extended its family to include AmeriCorps member, Kate Landry, in September.

Kate Landry comes to us from Atlanta, GA. She recently graduated from Erskine College in Due West, SC this past May. Kate has been involved in community work since she was little and is an active member in Lions Club International. After graduating from college, Kate moved back home and started volunteering with local organizations around Atlanta. It was through one of these volunteer opportunities, Hands on Atlanta, that she was able to find out about AmeriCorps.

"I was very interested in joining the Peace Corps after college. However when I heard about AmeriCorps I realized that it was a great way for me to enter into the volunteer world and make sure this was the path I wanted. Lucky enough for me, I got selected by Beyond Talent and everything is working out really well. I am extremely happy doing what I do."

Kate will be working with students one on one, coordinating programs, helping teach the Pathways to College program and providing career and college counseling with Living Wages and Academy of Hope on site.
