As we finish up the most successful run of the Beyond Talent College Readiness Program ever, let's take a look at some of the other programmatic successes in 2007.
Peer Mentorship Program
- In 2007, two Peer Mentors each completed two additional semesters of college
- One Peer Mentor moved from transitional to permanent housing
- One Peer Mentor was recruited to become an AmeriCorps volunteer, working full-time in exchange for a living stipend and education award.
- Collectively Beyond Talent's Peer Mentors volunteered a total of 800 hours tutoring and mentoring their peers
- With help form the Peer Mentors, three of their mentees completed the GED or EDP
College Readiness Program
- In the College Readiness Program in 2007, 8 of the 9 students who completed the intensive 8-week program are now in college
College and Career Counseling Program
- The College and Career Counseling Program supported 14 youth and adults to get jobs or go to college
