Beyond Talent joined area community colleges and universities as an exhibitor at the Latin American Youth Center’s annual “College Day.”
This year's theme was Building Career Pathways and reinfoced the importance of building a career on a solid foundation of education and training.
Beyond Talent staff met with GED students in LAYC’s programs to discuss Beyond Talent’s innovative programs, workshops, and other opportunities to assist in their transition to higher education and the workplace.
Beyond Talent hosted a special guest for a recent Next Step Workshop. In the three-hour session at Beyond Talent’s office, GED and External Diploma Program graduates learned financial aid basics from Jessica Johnson, founder of Minority Scholarship Quest and the Scholarship Academy.

The first session of the 2008 College Readiness Program ended with a bang on February 27, with a graduation luncheon attended by participants, their families, the professors, and Beyond Talent staff.
