Beyond Talent Welcomes New Peer Mentors
Dear [NAME], Beyond Talent is proud to introduce two new Peer Mentors! Alice Harris-Hall, who passed the GED exam in 2007 after studying at Living Wages, will now be a Beyond Talent Peer Mentor, serving at Living Wages. Alice will volunteer her time to help other students follow in her footsteps. Beyond Talent will provide a scholarship for Alice to attend a home health aide certification training program during her time as a Peer Mentor. Hugh Carter, who also passed the GED exam in 2007, will tutor his peers in the Catholic Charities Adult Education Program. While mentoring, Hugh will be completing the necessary college coursework to qualify for police training. Plus, there's more good news! The first session of the 2008 College Readiness Program ended with a bang on February 27, with a graduation luncheon attended by participants, their families, the professors, and Beyond Talent staff. Learn more about the program and see pictures of the graduation at BeyondTalent.org! We look forward to staying in touch!
