Crisis and Hope: The Little Engine That Could

Dear [NAME],Beyond Talent DONATE button

A past Beyond Talent Board Member, Rachel Lewis, once likened the organization to the "little engine that could." Since 2003, Beyond Talent has chugged along, gaining momentum on this journey towards our mission: to help non-traditional graduates succeed against the odds.

Who has kept this train running? People like Alison, a volunteer who kept the books for 5 years; like Karina, a Pathways student who brought her cousin to the program; like Quinci, who went the extra mile in her job; like Richard, who has donated $50 a year, every year; like Ben and Joel, who have given thousands over the years; and like Meeka, the inspiration behind it all.  All of you who have celebrated with Beyond Talent as we grow and succeed, thank you. If you haven't contributed yet but have been meaning to, now is the time.

Please, include Beyond Talent in your holiday giving.

In these difficult economic times, grants from foundations, corporations, and the government are more limited than ever, making donations from caring individuals like you more important than ever. Beyond Talent's comprehensive programming costs about $1500 per student; your $150 gift is a huge step toward that goal. Network for Good will set up a recurring donation  -- $150 breaks down to $12.50 a month for 1 year.

Thanks soooo much for stepping up your giving in this time of crisis and hope! I know it's tough for all of us, but if everyone does a little, we can accomplish a lot. Your $50, $100, or $150 gift this holiday season will not only keep programs running, it will also show the extent of Beyond Talent's community support. With your gifts, this "little engine that could" will keep on chugging.

Thank you,

Ellie Phillips, Founder & Executive Director
